Some Time Off!

Well Everyone....

I am off on my first real vacation! Well, not yet, but in less than a day I will be on the train with Joanna to Xi'an. You know, where the terra cotta warriors are.... If I have time to send a postcard, they will be in the mail, so check your mailbox.

Oh! As for this vacation, it was a hell of a time to get the tickets. Booking the tickets to Xian was ok, but it took Joanna an hour on the phone to get the tickets. As for the return tickets, it was impossible to achieve that from Shanghai, something about the inefficient government computer system. However, through some friendships and a few calls, Joanna got someone in Xian to get the tickets for us.... Oh, China!

Well that is it for all. I am still trying to get some boxes to send things home. There is a huge market for used boxes here, so it is hard to find them! As soon as the trip is over and I find some boxes, things will be in the mail to those of you who send me things.

Anywho, I am off for now. Gotta try and finish this paper for class...

Well everyone I am still here in Shanghai.....

The last two weeks has been rather rough for me here; I was sick, had to defend my country several times, my company is questionable, and my students are too picky. But, I guess things are starting to look better.... then again this is China and things tend to come in waves like a roller coaster....

Anyway, a good note. I am planning a kickass vacation for my May holiday. Joanna and I are traveling to Xi'an. We are going to see the Terra Cotta Warriors and some other cool things, or so I hope. We will be taking a the train, hopefully I can get some serious window time to see the countryside. Well, look out for postcards from China next month.

Lastly, I have been thinking, which can get me in trouble, and sometimes it is hard to be an American. Over the last 2 weeks I have come to a conclusion about Americans and once I collect my thoughts I will post a short paper about my epiphany.

I'm Back !!

Hello Everyone!

I am finally back on this webpage thing again. Hopefully, I can keep it updated regularly. I'll try my best. Anyway, a lot has happened since my last post, I have a new job, a new apartment, and so on. I have been spending a lot of time working on some business things, teaching and studying. Oh, I am also a student at Jiao Tong University, where I will get my TEFL certificate in two months time.
